Professor Liz Hsiao-Wecksler is honored at Investiture Ceremony

Professor Elizabeth Hsiao-Wecksler is honored with named professorship during the Investiture Ceremony in the Beckman Institute on May 12th. She was named the Grayce Wicall Gauthier Professor. Named appointments and professorships are a significant way to acknowledge the achievements of highly accomplished faculty members. These positions are the university’s highest honor for prominent faculty and offer dedicated resources for research and teaching opportunities, enabling the most gifted faculty to excel in their scholarly activities. Faculty who hold a named professorship are celebrated for their teaching, research, and the quality of their ideas, which inspire others.

During the Investiture Ceremony, the HDCL alumus, Professor Alex Shorter at the University of Michigan, introduced Liz and shared heart-warming and inspiring stories from other HDCL alumni about Liz and how she impacted us all profoundly.
