Dr. Yifan (David) Li received his Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Professor Liz Hsiao-Wecksler in 2013 and co-founded his company, Hesai Technology, in 2014. On Febuaray 9th, 2023, Hesai Group made its debut on the NASDAQ, and has made over $190 millions in its IPO. Hesai Group is a global suppliers of sensors for self-driving vehicles. It primarily supplies three-dimensional light detection and ranging (LiDAR).
