I received a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. As a master’s thesis research, I developed a resistive mechanism for exercise and rehabilitation with a series elastic actuator. Following of my master’s study, I joined Korea Institute of Science and Technology(KIST) with the responsibility of developing a mechanism and prototypes of cutaneous haptic interfaces. Recently, I worked at Disney Research as a lab associate in the Robotics group. My major research topic was a serial-parallel 6 DOF leg mechanism for a humanoid robot. Besides, I also involved in various robot research projects with the responsibility of design and fabrication. As a member of the Human Dynamics and Control Laboratory, my research interest is to develop a novel mechanism and its control for assistive device, exoskeletons and humanoid robot. Through the research, my objective is to enhance human capability and overcome disabilities.
